Rpgcodex black geyser6/30/2023 ![]() ![]() Nobody that actually played Morrowind could thing it's "shallow" as it's more complex and include more content that, well, most crpgs, Daggerfall included. Most Daggerfall players become Morrowind fans. There were far more Gothic fans butthurt on Internet in 2002-2003 than Daggerfall fans anger. I don't know what forums are you talking about, but what I remember about general consensus at Morrowind release is that it was a huge improvement over Daggerfall for most players. I was a young adult at MW release whith +50 crpgs finished before 2000 and I have a different impression than yours on Morrowind opinion back then. I think this is self-explanatory about the disturbed mentality of the users on the site.īasically with the open racism, abuse of modders and game developers and users who come across as incels with their rape fantasies, I'm surprised any developer would still be interested in paying any attention to this site.įrom the links, particularly the first two, you can see there's some decent people there, others who are just shitposting but the rest seem to be genuine messed up individuals. They've basically spent years stalking Wesp5, a modder for Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines, writing topics like this:īasically 16 pages of Codexers and their rape fantasies in a Skyrim mod. I remember a few years ago, there was some drama about a Neverwinter Nights mod not including sexual animations or forced rape or something and some Codex users went on to troll and stalk the modders for that because they got offended. It's basically a site where all the users hate on modern RPG's but play them anyway in the end while obsessing about developers and creating drama about them. Case in point, this thread complaining about female characters in Obsidian's Tyranny and how Obsidian has an agenda against men: All the users basically come across as alt-right incels. I'm surprised there's still a few RPG developers like Chris Avellone who pay a notice to them considering their verbal harassment of devs, modders, obsessive stalking of such people and open racism. Please note that the current mod team has no affiliation to this server, so take it as "unofficial". ![]() Referral links will be removed and repeat offenders banned from the subreddit.
